{Rhode Island Photographer} Boston Photographer: Beach Maternity Session

I had a great treat a few weeks ago – a beach maternity session! I love maternity sessions and I love beach sessions, so to mix the two together is wonderful!

I got a call earlier this summer from a very polite man asking about a maternity session for his wife – what a nice change to have dad calling! As it turns out this very polite man learned it well as he’s in the military, they both are and to make it even more special they live in Texas and will be taking a family vacation on Cape Cod and wanted to use that opportunity to schedule a maternity session. How special for me! They’re using a special family/vacation time to let me into their lives and capture this special time, truly an honor

They’re beautiful people, both inside and out, and I know they are anxiously awaiting their little boys arrival in a few months. I wish them all the best and hope that their next trip to Rhode Island include a trip to see me so I can see them again!

Have I told everyone before how much I LOVE maternity sessions? I do! I love them so much that I wish I could do them all the time! I love giving mom-to-be some special attention and helping her to look her best and enjoy this special time in her life.

This session was no exception – it was FANTASTIC. Mom-to-be contacted me in May about my maternity/newborn special and mentioned she wanted something in the first half of July as the new baby was due the first part of August. I found space on my calendar for her, of course, cause I love maternity sessions! She then told me she was looking for something very ‘homey’ feeling, almost antique like. Most importantly she wanted something timeless, yet creative. (Um, did I mention I really love THIS session?) Then to top it all off she told me she had a great location too! Wow – talk about making my job easy for me!

So we met one weeknight, first with her husband and young son and got some cute shots and then I sent dad and toddler on their way while we stayed to play. We played right until the bugs kicked us out of the field – dusk had come and it was time to go home. But the results of this session were so stunning that I couldn’t wait to check them out when I got home. So many great pictures!

When mom came to the viewing session she was actually stunned silent! She was so ecstatic with the pictures, she couldn’t have imagined them coming out any better – I have to agree, they are amazing images. I’m really looking forward to the newborn session too!

Truly beautiful photos, relaxed, innocent and I loved the belly shots. Almost made me want to be pregnant again (at 59)! Enjoy and cherish them.

I like the use of an outdoor setting with various backgrounds and poses to show a relaxed, natural and joyful excitement about the coming birth. The use of open fields and outdoor backgrounds provides an air of freshness and the inclusion of the expectant father and the brother-to-be adds a real sense of family to the photos. The quality of the photographs is excellent with vibrant colors and soft bokeh. Well done.

{Rhode Island Photographer} Maternity Photographer: Mommy & Me

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of doing Laura’s maternity images. Her and her husband were expecting a little surprise any day now and wanted some pictures early in the day at the park. So we went over to Roger Williams Park for 9 AM. I really felt bad for Laura – as any woman has been pregnant knows, you retain alot of fluid and this poor girl was out on disability because she couldn’t walk by noon time! Even the early session was hard for her but she was such a trooper – even putting up with my balloon ideas! I think we got some wonderful images and I can’t wait for their newborn session!

{Rhode Island Photographer} Family and Child Photographer: Toddler Power!

One thing I’ve learned from being a mom is that more often than not the kids ‘run the show’! This simple revelation has helped me immensely as a child photographer – I’ve had to learn to just roll with what the kids bring.

This adorable little lady definitely gave us all a workout! Her parents knew how to roll with it so we all had a fun time. Mom is expecting #2 any time now and then they’ll really have their hands full!

{Rhode Island Photographer} Maternity Photographer: Growing family

I had the pleasure of welcoming a wonderful family into the studio a few weeks ago. Mom and Dad are welcoming baby girl #2 in just a few weeks! They have a beautiful 2 year old daughter who was very excited to be taking pictures! It’s so nice to get pictures of willing participants!

We had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Mom is simply stunning, Dad was a GREAT sport and their daughter was an absolute delight! I can’t wait to see them again after their new little girl arrives!

Is this not the most beautiful little girl? Seriously, I’m so in LOVE with this image – I wish I had this when I was expecting my second child! You better believe I’m getting it for my next one though!
