{Rhode Island Photographer} Rhode Island Wedding Photographer: Kelly & Rob

Early last month I had the extreme pleasure of photographing Kelly & Rob’s beautiful Providence wedding!  I had actually done family images for Kelly’s sister and her family and when they saw their proofs they immediately told Kelly she HAD to hire me to do her wedding… in two weeks!  Eek!  Short notice but lucky for them I had the date open!  Talk about an alignment of the stars huh?

Anyway, as luck would have it I had leg surgery just before her wedding and had to get an assistant to help with her wedding – it worked out well because having the extra camera meant extra images and extra eyes – always good on a wedding day!

I started out at Kelly’s house and my assistant, at Rob’s parents house, and we got some great ‘getting ready shots’, followed by the church – St. Bartholomew’s

in Providence, formals at Waterplace Park and a fabulous and fun reception at 1149 in E. Greenwhich.  Fun day and fun imags – I hope you enjoy this small sampling of their day!

I can help capture your special day too – email me for more details:  jennifer@decesariphotography.com.  I am offering a discount on my 2011 weddings booked by April of 2011.

{Rhode Island Photographer} High School Senior Photographer: Not in Kansas anymore!

One thing I would really like to photographer more of is high school seniors!  I love the creative freedom I have when photographing high school seniors, they come with lots of ideas and are (usually) really excited about being photographed!

This gal was no exception!  Meet Ashley, who came all the way from Huntsville, TX to lil’ ol’ Rhody just for me to create unique senior portraits for her!  Boy are they different than what everyone else in class will have!

We ventured to Roger Williams Park in Providence followed by Waterplace Park – mixing floral/outdoor with grungy/urban – and boy was it fun!!  I had such a blast creating fun images with her!  I hope everyone enjoys these images, I know I do!

It’s not too late to get your senior pictures!  We still have a few weeks of fabulous weather ahead of us and don’t forget the usual yearbook deadline of October!  I have special packages just for high school seniors but you have to call soon – my schedule is already very busy for the fall!  Call or email today!  jennifer@decesariphotography.com or 401.286.1949

{Rhode Island Photographer} Boston Photographer: Beach Maternity Session

I had a great treat a few weeks ago – a beach maternity session!  I love maternity sessions and I love beach sessions, so to mix the two together is wonderful!

I got a call earlier this summer from a very polite man asking about a maternity session for his wife – what a nice change to have dad calling!  As it turns out this very polite man learned it well as he’s in the military, they both are and to make it even more special they live in Texas and will be taking a family vacation on Cape Cod and wanted to use that opportunity to schedule a maternity session.  How special for me!  They’re using a special family/vacation time to let me into their lives and capture this special time, truly an honor :)

They’re beautiful people, both inside and out, and I know they are anxiously awaiting their little boys arrival in a few months.  I wish them all the best and hope that their next trip to Rhode Island include a trip to see me so I can see them again! :)

{Rhode Island Photographer} Family Beach Photography: Fun in the sun and sand

I met with this great family a few weeks ago at one of my favorite spots – Misquamicut Beach in Westerly, RI.  It’s so picturesque and beautiful down there – the sand looks so GOOD here (as opposed to the majority of RI).

The session was being used to create some images that would be used for gifts for parents/grandparents.  The goal was to get the two grandchildren together, some group shots and the 3 sisters.  I’m very happy to say we succeeded!  I had a great time and know they did too.  I’m even more proud that these are images that they will enjoy looking at for years to come!

It’s not too late for your beach pictures!  Don’t let this summer go by without creating beautiful beach memories for your family!  Call me to schedule your session today!  401.286.1949 or jennifer@decesariphotography.com

{Rhode Island Photographer} Newborn Photographer: Pictures of Hope Foundation

DeCesari Photography is pleased to announce that I am also a member of the Pictures of Hope Foundation!  I am also the only member in Rhode Island.

What is the Pictures of Hope Foundation?

Pictures of Hope is a charitable organization of professional photographers who provide complimentary, documentary-style, photography sessions to babies in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and their families.  The Pictures of Hope Foundation is comprised of photographers (many of whom are “NICU mothers” themselves) from across the United States and Canada who are dedicated to donating their time to a cause they believe in, and sharing the gift of photography with families in need.

Why Pictures of Hope?
Throughout pregnancy most parents don’t anticipate the possibility of their baby needing to stay in the NICU after birth. Whatever that reason may be, time spent in the NICU is often an unexpected journey for families, a journey full of overwhelming emotions…sadness, confusion, hope, celebration, and unfortunately, at times grief. Throughout this roller coaster of emotions, many parents do not consider the importance of documenting these precious moments in their lives nor do they think about how much they will truly cherish these images years down the road. In some cases, a little extra TLC from the NICU is needed to be sure the little one gets off to the best possible start, for these families on the road to well being, photographs are a wonderful reminder of just how far their little one has come, however, photographs also play a necessary and very important role in the healing process for other families. In the most heart breaking circumstances, photos may be the only tangible keepsakes some parents have of their precious little one. All Pictures of Hope participating photographers are dedicated to providing NICU families with invaluable images you will cherish forever, captured in a sensitive and caring manner.

Personal Touch

My oldest daughter, Arianna, was born at 28 weeks and spent many many weeks in the NICU at Women and Infants Hospital in Providence.  It was a heart breaking but powerful experience.  It brought my family closer together and has given me a great respect for what my daughter has overcome in her short life.  I want all families to be able to have memories of this time – to look back on, to see just how far their son or daughter has come!

If you know someone that has a child(ren) in the NICU and would enjoy a complimentary photo session, please have them contact me:  401.286.1949 or jennifer@decesariphotography.com
